The Power of Attorney is a “dangerous” document with an incredible potential for misuse. In our years of practice, we have seen many cases of lost properties, because the client had preferred to trust a relative or an old friend with a Power of Attorney or because the document was poorly drafted, too general or too wide in its scope or stipulated as irrevocable.
